Kraus Family Scholarship

Herbert Kraus and Ruth Forchheimer each escaped persecution in Nazi Germany in the late 1930’s. Arriving in America with little, they worked hard to make a better life for themselves and their families. After meeting in Cleveland, Herb and Ruth married and raised three children, each of whom graduated from Heights High. Renee (Kraus) Barnow (1966), Ron Kraus (1968), and Jeff Kraus (1974) establish this annual scholarship fund to honor their parents and help support Heights High students who have experienced economic insecurity and are determined to further their education to provide for better economic opportunities.
