The Jake Nees Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created by the University Heights Fire Fighters Local 974. In 2024, a retired career member of the UH Fire Department unexpectedly lost his son Jake. Jake was an amazing son, friend, co-worker and person overall. Jake served as a Sheriff Deputy for the Summit County Sheriff’s office. This scholarship is for a student with plans to enter; Fire, Police, EMT or Nursing academy (or other program focusing on the care of others) or college/university majoring in Nursing, Public Policy, Criminal Justice (or other program focusing on care of others)
