The Jimmie Thomas II Memorial Scholarship

Jimmie Thomas II, class of 1984, was a fallen tiger taken much too soon in 2018. Jimmie was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and friend who LOVED his Heights experience. He strongly believed in education and encouraging those coming up to attend college. In his memory, his family including his wife Tonya; mother, Elsie; daughters, Kanisha and Brooke wanted to congratulate high achieving, college-bound African-American students in Jimmie’s memory, and to help make the transition to college a little bit easier with a scholarship for $1,000 each. First Awarded in Spring 2019.
