The HSF has created a vehicle for generous donors to provide targeted funds for a variety of meaningful and sometimes ‘life-changing’ Holocaust education activities including opportunities like: Trips to DC for powerful visits to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum & the National Museum for African-American History & Culture; Trips to Cincinnati’s Holocaust and Humanity Center and Detroit’s Holocaust Museum and Underground Railroad Experience; Sponsoring and hosting “Testimony Theater”– a Holocaust Commemoration & Educational performance; and Hosting Holocaust survivors for interactions with students (in-person and more recently ZOOM sessions).–
The Foundation has been the ideal vehicle for me to fuse my pride for Heights with the vision I have for impact and legacy. Voices of appreciation from students and parents who have received the Johnson-Scott Scholarship are the humbling manifestation of the Foundation’s work. I hope an increased number of alumnus will leverage the Foundation as a way to benefit more Heights students.
Heights Schools Foundation is an anchor for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District, serving as a critical bridge between our alumni and current students. By providing multiple opportunities to connect with each other and contribute to the District, the Heights Schools Foundation strengthens and sustains Tiger Nation.
