40th Anniversary of the Alumni Hall of Fame- View Here!

2020 Cleveland Heights High School Distinguished Alumni

The 40th Anniversary of the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame was held virtually on Friday, Oct. 16th.   The Friday premiere was seen by students, community members, staff, elected officials and alumni from all over the globe.  Thanks to CH-UH staff members, Charlie Swift (Communications) and Marc Brown (IT), our first virtual event went off without a glitch on the district YouTube Channel and Facebook.  Viewers could watch safely from their smart TV, computer or any portable device.

Hosted by HSF President, Dr. Susan Carver ’78 and HSF Co-Vice President, Shanice Settle ’06, with Heights High as the backdrop, the two led viewers through the over 2 hour event.  Special thanks to the Gear Up students and CH-UH educator, Carmen Daniels for providing the inspiring introductions for each inductee.  We’d also like to thank  Adam Dew ’94 (Dew Media, Inc.), who made the once impossible idea of a ‘virtual event’ into a reality.

Of course the main event and most memorable part of the evening was by far the acceptance speeches from this exceptional group of alumni!  The sense of #TigerPride and appreciation for their time spent at Heights was a common theme.  From teachers & coaches to friends & family, one thing was clear… each of them would not be where they were today without Heights.

The evening continued with a musical performance from Heights’ own Alexander Wright ’09 & The Collective, followed by an intimate Zoom Q&A.  Missed it?  Don’t worry, you can catch it anytime right here:
